Sessùn was created by stylist Emma François in 1995 . The young designer received the Young Designer prize in 2001 from the Institut Mode Méditerranée , which accelerated the success of the brand inspired by travels in Latin America and the encounters of its designer.

Craftsmanship and ethics in fashion are an integral part of the Sessùn spirit. The collections are inspired by the work of fabrics and embroideries of Indian craftsmanship discovered during the designer's travels in South America.
